The Southern Snow Seekers is one of the largest Ski clubs in the South. Our Atlanta, GA based club was founded in 1983 with eleven (11) members. Currently, our membership exceeds 250! We are a 501(c)(7) non-profit organization and a member of the National Brotherhood of Skiers (NBS), the NBS Eastern Region and the National Ski Council Federation (NSCF).

The NBS was chartered in 1974 and consists of 84 clubs throughout the US and one in London, England. The CSC was formed in 1969 and consists of 22 clubs throughout the Southeast US.

One of the Southern Snow Seekers Ski Club's goals is to support the mission of the NBS at the local level. The primary challenge of the NBS is to identify and fund high-caliber youth skiers capable of winning a berth on the U.S. Olympic Ski Team.

The Southern Snow Seekers Ski Club is a local 501 (c)(7) non-profit organization located in Atlanta, GA. The club was founded in 1983 with eleven (11) members and currently, there are over 250 members. The club is a member of the National Brotherhood of Skiers (NBS) headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. During the ski season, members of the Southern Snow Seekers participate in ski trips to resorts throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. The club averages at least one major trip a month, including National and Regional sponsored NBS trips. The club also participates in local day trips to resorts in North Carolina and Tennessee, which provide an excellent experience for the beginner. Our goal is to introduce at least 50 new youth and adults to the sports of skiing and snowboarding each year.

Our Mission

The Southern Snow Seekers Ski Club promotes the sports of snow skiing and snowboarding among people of color and supports the National Brotherhood of Skiers in identifying a high-caliber minority skier in winning a berth on the U.S. Olympic Ski Team.
